It's not as simple as that. They don't earn $60 for every game that they sell. The retailers sell the games at $60 so it's safe to say that they got it cheaper from the publishers. Also, I'm pretty sure that Sony and MS also earns a few royalties for every game sold.
The bottomline is: no matter which way you look at it, Take Two and Rockstar still made a couple $100 Mils.
There's a certain "current-gen" console that's cheaper than the Wii but still doesn't sell as much. I guess it is doomed then.

Live 08 sucks bigtime; EA totally ruined the Dynasty mode. If Sony makes NBA 08 with the same level of quality as MLB 08: The Show, I might pick up a different basketball game this year other than NBA 2K9.

Looking at the sales of Bloom Box, it doesn't look good for LBP. If Bloom Box's failed to generate huge amount of sales from a console with a far bigger installbase, who knows how many copies will LBP sell.
